On foot or by mountain bike, go along a pleasant route on the Montalbano along a path marked by the CAI (Italian Alpine Club) to the ruins of the Tower of Sant’Alluccio.

“Chianti Montalbano DOCG Wine Road”:

Visit the winery Fattoria di Lucciano, belonging to the family Spalletti for over a century.

Path among the vineyards, harvest, wine tasting are the most important element of this wine tour.

The excellent wine produced by this winery is served in the Farmhouse.

“Discover the secrets of extra virgin olive oil”:

Guided tour of the olive grove, olive harvest demonstration and explanation of the method and of the tools used, return to the farmhouse with tasting of home produced extra virgin olive oil.

“A walk in the Barco Reale Mediceo”

Organized excursions on foot or by mountain bike (provided free of charge by the farmhouse) in the woods of Montalbano, in the ancient hunting ground, the Barco Reale, built by the Medici family in 1626. Discover the historic, cultural and natural aspects of the Montalbano.

Part of the wall that enclosed the ancient hunting ground is still visible today on the edge of the Farmhouse property.

Continuing on the path you reach the Tower of Sant’Alluccio.

“Interactive path to recognize herbs”:

Through a fun sensorial journey in the countryside of Montalbano, an expert guide will guide children and adults in the observation and recognition of different varieties of culinary and aromatic herbs.

“Ceramics, between tradition and innovation of Tuscan handicrafts”

Tour to an ancient furnace in Quarrata – in Gli Olmi – where the owner Giorgio will be glad to show you his hand-worked pottery.

“Educational Farm”:

Miniature pigs, geese, hens, Mugellesi cockerel, goats are pleased to show off to the guests! Accompanied by the owners Maria and Sandra, children can observe the animals, feed them and choose their own farm-fresh eggs.

The source Arancini – the Farmhouse was named after it – is about 1 kilometer away. The uncontaminated water we use is on the ridge and descends down to town.

Mountain bikes are free to use for all our guests.

The convenient location of the Farmhouse offers the opportunity to partecipate in various tours and activities, in 50 minutes by car you can:

…Pistoia: the city Pistoia is a paradise for art and tradition lovers. It was called by poets and writers the “city of enchanted stones.” The center offers small streets with churches, monasteries and monuments dating back to the Middle Ages and has one of the most beautiful Squares of Italy, the Piazza Duomo, where there is the splendid cathedral of Pistoia.
