This ancient stone farmhouse has been particularly carefully
renovated and stands on a hill (220 meters above sea level) with
wonderful views of the surrounding area. Gli Arancini farm is surrounded
by the green Montalbano countryside, a vast protected area in the
Municipality of Quarrata (Province of Pistoia) and is just one kilometer
away from the ancient village of Montorio. The surrounding landscape
is extremely beautiful, with gently sloping valleys and cypress
groves, where the centuries-old presence of man has modeled the
profiles of the hills with terraces cultivated with olives and vines
and dotted with ancient villages. It is an ideal place for those
who love peace and quiet, for those looking for a land rich in history
and tradition.
No stone was left unturned in the skilful restoration
of the ancient farmhouse. The original materials were salvaged and
restored thanks to the experience of local craftsmen and the passion
of the owners, leading to the restoration of the building in the
late 1980s, which has been providing accommodation as an agritourism
since 1990 and was one of the first to open in the Province of Pistoia.
Gli Arancini offers guests warm, welcoming environments, typical
of rural Tuscany: terracotta paving, a large fireplace in the dining
room, ceiling beams and sandstone steps. You will be guests of the
gentle Tuscan countryside at Gli Arancini and will be able to stay
in a friendly environment, able to combine modern facilities with
the traditions and culture of the past… for an unusual and refreshing
holiday.
The farm rears farmyard animals, Tibetan goats and horses and produces
its own strictly organic fruit, vegetables and extra virgin olive
oil. The farm also sells typical local produce such as wine, honey,
jam and vinsanto.
